Google Cloud Platform

Google Cloud Platform

I found that earlier this year Google launched a new service for the Google Cloud machine. Google is calling it's new cloud learning service, " the fastest growing product areas". it seems that the Google's Cloud Platform will be getting a GPU upgrade int he early 2017. As of right now, Google only offers it's service for building custom learning models as well as a number of pre-trained models for machines vision, speech-to-text conversions, translations and extracting information from text. The API was only meant for long form translations instead of standard edition.

Facebook's Dying

Facebook's Dying

Recently, just about a few days ago, Facebook randomly had somewhat of a glitch in their system where on some people's around 1.7 billion profiles saying that they died. According to the some people is left a banner saying that " We hope people who love you will find comfort in the things others share to remember and celebrate you life.

What I thought was weird was that even the Facebook CEO got the same glitch saying that he died. It was weird because I thought what would be like to attend your own funeral The bug was fixed later the next day.

Snapchat's new photo-taking sunglasses just for only $130 and after 24 hours of being on the released all the glasses had been sold out.

The best part is that when your not using your Spectacle you c an put them in the "Charging Case". But the irritating fact is that there is a cord that you have to keep track of such as a phone charger.

Image: Mashable

Just recently GoPro found a bit of an issue in their new drones (Karma). Whenever you have the Karma Drones in the air they tend to sometimes stop flying wherever it's at. So on that note GoPro had to do a massive recall over 2,500 drones.

The company that they will give refunds to the all the customers that have purchased the Karma drone, but they will not be offering replacements drones. The reason being is that they have been selling the drones since Oct 23. However, they will resume shipping once the issue is resolved on the drones.

In result of the massive recalls GoPro lost over 84 million in the past three months. I would say that the real question is: Will the Karma drones ever be trusted by the previous customers and others?

HP Elite X3 Review

HP Elite X3 Review

TODO alt text
HP’s Elite x3 is a well-built device

The company HP just designed a new phone called Elite X3 which is a well built with Window 10 installed. There have been some positive and negatives with the new phone such as

Positives:

  • Massive Battery
  • Stunning Design
  • Can transform into a PC
Negatives:
  • Lousy app support
  • Unwieldy size for some
Even though the Elite X3 is very well made and it can be a 3-in-1 device turning into a laptop, desktop and a mobile phone together. Your still very limited to with the app selection and is stuck with some baggage right at the get go.

The interface of the of the phone looks exactly like a Windows 10 desktop or laptop but it's still limited but works. The Elite X3 is powerful enough it handle music, movies and gaming. It as well gives you the access to either 32 bit or 64 bit application.

The battery life is pretty good it takes about an hour to reach 70% and a another 40 minutes to be fully charged. You can actually get atleast a two hour call with even 16%  or even surfing the web at the current battery life.
